ANDREA CARPENZANO BIOGRAPHY :
Andrea Carpenzano (Lugo, August 24, 1995) is an Italian actor. Born in 1995 in Lugo, in the province of Ravenna, he grew up and studied in Rome. He discovered acting by chance, accompanying a friend to auditions for a supporting role in the film Tutto quello che vuoi (Everything You Want) in 2015. He was then chosen by director Francesco Bruni to star in the film, in which he starred alongside Giuliano Montaldo. For his performance, he received the award for best new actor at the Bari International Film Festival, the Vittorio De Sica Award, and a special mention at the Biraghi Award at the 2017 Nastri d’argento Awards. That same year, he starred in Claudio Amendola’s Il permesso – 48 ore fuori (The Permission – 48 Hours Out). In 2018, he starred in the Canale 5 television series Immaturi – The Series. That same year, he starred alongside Matteo Olivetti in the film La terra dell’abbastanza (The Land of Enough) by the D’Innocenzo brothers, which earned him acclaim from Italian and international critics. The following year, he starred in the sports film Il campione, opposite Stefano Accorsi. In 2021, he played the lead role in the drama Lovely Boy, about success, loneliness, and ultimately his tragic descent into drugs and self-destruction.
