ELENA MICHELI BIOGRAPHY :
Elena Micheli (Rome, 29 April 1999) is an Italian pentathlete. She is the younger sister of the pentathlete Roberto Micheli. He attended the Giulio Cesare high school in Rome. She grew up in the modern penthtlon section of the Polisportiva Lazio. At the 2018 Budapest Military World Championships he won silver in the mixed relay, paired with Valerio Grasselli, finishing behind the Chinese Wei Wang and Linbin Zhang. At the age of twenty she won the silver medal at the World Championships in Budapest 2019. The result allowed her to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games. In the team event with her compatriots Alice Sotero and Irene Prampolini she finished in fourth place. Two years later she became world champion in the women’s individual event at the championships in Alexandria, Egypt, the second Italian athlete after Claudia Corsini.
