HRISTO STOICKOV BIOGRAPHY :
Hristo Stoichkov (born 8 February 1966 in Plovdiv) is a former Bulgarian footballer and manager, who played as a striker. Known by the nickname Kamata and during his time at Barcelona Ayatollah, because of his gesture of raising his arms to the sky, he is considered the strongest Bulgarian footballer of all time. In 2003 he was awarded the honorary title of Golden Player of Bulgaria as the best Bulgarian player of the last half century (1954-2003). Winner of the Ballon d’Or in 1994, in March 2004 Pelé also included him in the FIFA 100, the list of the 125 greatest living footballers, drawn up on the occasion of the FIFA Centenary.
